We take care of your cosmetic product compliance in the EU and GB

Cosmetics Safety Assessment

Responsible Person Services

We are able to take on the responsibility of a legal Responsible Person to ensure full product compliance.

We ensure that the correct and up-to-date documentation is kept on file for the raw materials, manufacturing process. product labeling, claims advice, and notification of the product. As part of cosmetovigilance, we also monitor product-related adverse effects and provide advice on the resolution.

Cosmetic Safety Reports (CPSR)

We will thoroughly check the documentation to ensure that the purity criteria for each ingredient are met. The Cosmetic Regulations also require specific tests to be conducted and provided to the Safety Assessor. We help to identify any data gaps and provide or refer you for further testing to address the required data gaps.

The toxicologist will conduct a desk-based assessment of the finished cosmetic formulation and determine the safety based on the predicted exposure to the finished product. The product shall then be notified either on the EU or GB product notification portal to be placed on the market.

News & Updates

Coming soon: 'Initial Cosmetic Formulation safety App'.  You can use our App for initial screening to ensure that there are no restrictions according to UK & EU Regulations (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetics. This would allow you to check that there are no substances classified as carcinogens, mutagens, or substances toxic to reproduction present. It would also ascertain whether any colourants, preservatives, or UV filters used in the product are permitted to be used in the EU and GB markets.
